Raising accessibility standards for new homes: summary of consultation responses and government response

Abstract
The evidence gathered has helped informed government on what changes could be made to deliver accessible new homes. Proposals include the mandating of the current M4(2) (Category 2: Accessible and adaptable dwellings) requirement in Building Regulations as a minimum standard for all new homes. There will be some exceptions which will be detailed in due course with a change to building regulations.
