Abstract
Comprises guidance to support local authorities in England (not London) in improving the management of local air quality and the processes and principles involved. Covers: an overview of the local air quality management (LAQM) process; roles and responsibilities; air quality management areas; air quality action plans; consultation and community engagement; air quality disparities; PM25; transport; non-transport nitrogen oxides (NOx) and other sources; planning and building regulations; air quality and climate change; government support for local authorities.
