Abstract

Provides guidance for complying with building regulations requirements for combustion appliances and fuel storage systems, in particular relating to: air supply, discharge of products of combustion, warning of release of carbon monoxide, protection of building, provision of information, protection of liquid fuel storage systems and protection against pollution.

Came into effect 1 October 2010 and replaces the 2002 edition (ODPM). Published 2022. Main changes made by the 2022 amendments. Guidance has been added in support of requirement J3. "Warning of release of carbon monoxide" on the provision of carbon monoxide alarms where gas burning appliances and oil burning appliances are installed.
