Abstract
Provides guidance on how to appeal if a management notice for works on a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) is served. Covers: when the appeal can be made, who can appeal, before the appeal is made, how to appeal, first steps for all appeals, appeal by written representations, appeal by hearing, appeal by inquiry, requesting an appeal, supporting evidence, legal representation, what happens and hearings and inquiries, site visits by inspectors, changes to procedure, decisions, costs and questions about the appeal.
