Abstract

This publication outlines the design principles for ensuring the stability of light steel-framed buildings, which is achieved through X-braced wall panels, integral bracing, or the diaphragm action of sheathing boards, in accordance with Eurocodes and EN standards. It addresses the need for structural analysis under horizontal loading, including Equivalent Horizontal Forces (EHF), and recommends test regimes for assessing stability systems.
