Abstract

Provides revised guidance for fire risk assessments conducted in multi-occupied residential premises in England and Wales, under the fire safety order (Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005). Provides background history, about the expert panel consolidated advice note issued in January 2020, PAS 9980, Fire Safety Act 2021 and covers the issues relating to cladding and external wall construction, describing the problem from the Fire Risk Assessment perspective and provides FIA advice for assessors.
