Abstract
Relates to Recticel Eurowall Cavity, a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) board faced on both sides with low emissivity facings, used as partial fill insulation (with a minimum 50 mm residual cavity) in new external masonry cavity walls, in domestic and non-domestic buildings, additional requirements apply for buildings above 12 m in height. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention sustainable use of natural resources, durability.
