Abstract
This document outlines the fire safety requirements for buildings in Wales as set out in the Building Regulations Wales 2010, Approved Document B. Covering Volume 1 (Dwellinghouses) and Volume 2 (Buildings other than Dwellinghouses), these regulations serve as the primary guidance for demonstrating compliance with statutory fire safety requirements. While they provide a standard framework for fire protection measures, alternative compliance routes may also be considered where appropriate.
