BS EN 12697-21:2020 Bituminous mixtures - test methods. Indentation using plate specimens

Abstract
Provides a method of test to measure the indentation of mastic asphalt when it is penetrated at a given temperature, with a given load and for a fixed time period. This is measured by preparing a sample and using apparatus such as a standardised cylindrical indentor pin with a circular flat-ended base. The test is applicable to mastic asphalt with aggregates of maximum nominal size less or equal to 16 mm and requirements are given for the output of results, precision and report.
