Abstract
Relates to three methods for determining pattern depth change due to abrasion in resilient floor coverings. It categorizes patterns into uniformly distributed designs (Group 1) and those with varying ratios of pattern-to-background areas (Group 2). The test assesses appearance change using three observation methods, involving grid measurement, contour reference lines, and visual evaluation. The document also outlines required apparatus, sampling and preparation of test pieces, and conditioning procedures to ensure consistent testing conditions.
