Abstract
Describes a residential redevelopment in Camberwell, replacing a deteriorated two-storey dwelling with two new houses on a triangular plot. The design chamfers a corner to transition between street axes, setting back the front façade for better internal layouts and streetscape relief. Inspired by local typologies, arched openings, precast concrete lintels, and a bay window integrate with the Lilford Road terraces, while a modern zinc box extension defines the top floor. Green accents on window frames and doors enhance contextual cohesion, and a composite aluminium-wood window system balances durability, thermal performance, and aesthetic continuity within the streetscape.
