Abstract
Methods for the stiffness classification of welded beam to column joints in steel structures, reviewing new and revised codes and standards criteria distinguishing rigid, semi-rigid, and nominally pinned connections. Rotational stiffness evaluation, modelling assumptions, and testing evidence are also discussed.
