Abstract
Covers, for low temperature hot water heating systems and related hot and cold water supply systems, the headlines of system design, components, workmanship and commissioning, that is the full range of technical involvement of designer contractors in those systems. The specification relates to projects in the UK and is not intended for domestic heating work below 45kW, although some of its provisions will apply.

The Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association represented those responsible for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration products and equipment.
