Abstract
The Report examines the technology currently available for moving very large loads laterally. It gives an account of current technology and a summary of basic operational parameters of systems with both single and multiple units which have been successfully used for the controlled movement of very large structures principally by the construction industry. A directory of firms specialising in the various systems is included.
