Abstract
Reviews a wide range of methods for laboratory and in-situ measurement of moisture conditions in concrete and related materials in terms of their purpose, principles and practicalities. Suggests that destructive sampling and relative humidity measurements can provide reliable data relevant to a wide range of concrete properties, including durability and permeation. Concludes that microwave and neutron scattering methods seem to warrant further development for moisture measurements in concrete.
