Abstract
Exterior-grade water-borne coatings are now widely available on the British market. They are appropriate for most applications where exterior woodwork requires protection and decoration, but their properties and performance in use differ in many respects from those of traditional solvent-borne products. This paper describes the main types of water-borne coating and summarises the requirements for their successful use.
