Abstract
The purpose of this Standard is to promulgate the collision loading requirements for new highway bridges and foot/cycle track bridges. The revised loading represents, more realistically, the possible effects of heavy good vehicle collisions and is consistent with other national and international requirements. This Standard contains the loading, broad principles for its application and some specific guidelines for design.
