Information Paper 2/95 Guidance for engineers conducting static load tests on building structures
Publication Year

Abstract
The loading regime adopted for a load test must reflect the load environment of the structure being tested, and in particular whether this environment is predominately static or dynamic. This paper gives guidance on whether the response of a structure can be regarded as static, and it offers recommendations for static load tests, including interpretation and safety considerations. The paper will help engineers to formulate suitable test programmes.
