Abstract
Defines the main types of major/minor priority junction which can be used on new and improved trunk roads. Advice is also given on the choice between the different types of major/minor priority junction, and on the siting of such junctions. Key safety issues are outlined, as are those particular design issues relating to landscaping and the specific requirements of road users. Further recommendations are given on the geometric design of the important elements of the major/minor priority junction, and the way in which the individual components can be brought together to produce a good overall design.
