Abstract

Presents guidance for the safe and efficient use of stainless steel fixings and ancillary components in general building construction. Information is given for selecting the most appropriate grade of stainless steel for a particular application, together with details of the mechanical properties and design strengths of components and fasteners. Sections on durability and corrosion resistance, detailing and fabrication, site practice and maintenance, and design examples are also included.
