Abstract
Provides design rules for the wind-moment method which are consistent with BS 5950-1:1990. Where a steel frame is unbraced, an established technique is to rely on rotational stiffness of connections to provide resistance to wind. Such a restraint is ignored under gravity loads. The scope of the method is fully explained and a worked example is included.
