Abstract
Aims to explain in broad terms the factors which affect the failure and durability of sealed double-glazing units, with specific guidance being given on the design, manufacture, quality, procurement, glazing, installation and maintenance of such units. This report applies mainly to double-glazing units intended for use in window frames of all types. Similar principles can be adopted for double-glazing units to be used in curtain walling, conservatories, roof glazing and doors.
