Abstract
Describes the development of a new approach to the procurement, operation and management of buildings, in which building performance and the associated costs-in-use are addressed consistently throughout building life. The approach is called the 'Performance and Cost Managed Building' (PCMB). PCMB encompasses the whole of building life from inception through to and including refurbishment, disposal or demolition.
