Abstract
The technical basis of BREDEM-12, the current annual version of the BRE domestic energy model is described. This model estimates energy consumption in dwellings, including estimates for space heating, water heating, cooking and lights and appliances. The principles behind the model are discussed and the equations are listed. Sufficient information to implement the model is given.
