Abstract
New church of St Barnabas in Dulwich Hill, London, is designed to be adaptable to changing liturgical needs as well as provide a community centre. The requirement for natural daylight has been met by incorporating large transparent areas of glazing; flexibility is enabled by a range of specially designed stacking benches. Focal points include a glass tower and stained glass east window. Includes cost comment and working details of glass spire. Architects: Hellmuth Obata & Kassabaum Inc.
