Abstract
Intended to remind and inform designers and site supervisory staff of ways of avoiding some of the most troublesome defects which have beset Local Authority housing. This Defect Action Sheet covers ground floors: replacing suspended timber with solid concrete - dpcs and dpms. Failures discussed include rising damp. Defects discussed include original wall damp-proof course bridged by new floor construction.
