Abstract
Intended to remind and inform designers and site supervisory staff of ways of avoiding some of the most troublesome defects which have beset Local Authority housing. This Defect Action Sheet covers dual-pitched roofs: trussed rafters, bracing and binders - installation. Failures discussed include movement of roofs. Defects discussed include bracing and binders missing or incorrectly positioned or fastened.
