Abstract
Intended to remind and inform designers and site supervisory staff of ways of avoiding some of the most troublesome defects which have beset Local Authority housing. This Defect Action Sheet covers drainage stacks - avoiding roof penetration. Failures discussed include rainwater penetration to inside of roof space. Defects discussed include flashing incorrectly dressed, poor vent position in relation to tile/slating module, ill-fitted sarking felt.
