Abstract
Throughout this note, the guidance given is related primarily to the conditions generally found within the flat roofs of educational buildings. It is not intended to be applicable to areas in such buildings where abnormal conditions occur (e.g. over swimming pools), nor will it necessarily apply to non-educational building types in which the internal environment may differ considerably from that experienced in schools and colleges.
