Abstract
Reports on observations made of ceramic specimens, made from ten British raw materials, being allowed to expand in air for a period of approximately 7½ years since firing. Generally, the expansions have been proportional to the logarithm of the period of exposure, but in a few cases, the expansions have been slightly greater than predicted, especially with materials fired to the higher temperatures. Also considers prediction of further expansion.
