Abstract
These recommendations are applicable to fire safety in the storage and use of flammable and highly flammable liquids (which may include solvents, adhesives, resins etc) having a flash point up to 55°C.

Formed from a merger of the Fire Offices Committee, the Fire Insurers Research and Testing Organisation and the Insurers Technical Bureau in 1984, the Loss Prevention Council (LPC) later went on to develop a certification body, the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), itself taken over by BRE Certification in April 2000.
