Abstract
Plywood categorisation is based on a combination of the timber used in its manufacture and the bonding quality. Plywood is imported into Britain from European countries, from North America, South America and the far East. Therefore the change from the familiar British Standards to European Standards will have ramifications throughout the industry. This Wood Information Sheet acts as a pointer to the changes which will take place over the next year or two by indicating the current British Standards relating to plywood and the European Standards which will take their place.
