Abstract
The Millennium Dome, on the site of a former gas works in Greenwich, south London, will be one of the world's largest enclosures. Article follows project from design to current state of construction and uses drawings, photographs and computer generated images to illustrate main features of the design and construction including: steel fabrication and erection, assembly and positioning of central ring cable, method statement diagrams for raising cable net, method of attaching PTFE coated fabric roof.
