Abstract

Reviews the findings from the field experiments undertaken by the Laboratory into the degradation of various types of reinforcement, and from this assesses where further work is required and what direction it should take. Different methods of determining the degree of corrosion of buried metallic reinforcements are discussed and data are presented for metallic elements recovered from four sites.
