Glasgow is the UK City of Architecture and Design in 1999. Gives an overview of exhibitions and events in the city during the forthcoming year. Looks at some current major building projects in the city including: conversion of a newspaper office building [original architect: Charles Rennie Mackintosh] into the Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Architecture, Design and the City.
