Abstract
Intended to be used at an early stage in the design and aims to help the designer to select the best system of air conditioning for a particular building, in terms of its annual average rate of consumption of primary energy. The code deals with the energy demands of air conditioning systems most commonly in use and has therefore been developed principally for office buildings and hotels, which offer the most scope for reducing the power demands of air conditioned buildings.
