Abstract
Mains signalling is a means of transmitting information or control signals by superimposing them on the low-voltage (230 volts) mains power supply conductors. Mains signalling is a method of communication to be compared with other systems such as radio transmission and fixed wiring. This volume comprises two distinct sections. The validation and verification section details the requirements for testing and commissioning of mains signalling equipment, while the operational management section provides information for day-to-day operation and maintenance.
