Abstract
Reviews the legislation regarding the disposal of clinical waste and its impact on the NHS. It indicates some of the areas with which senior managers may need to familiarise themselves and in which they may need to take steps to ensure that existing and new licensing, monitoring and operational requirements are met. The guide also reviews current waste disposal methods and operational options and provides an evaluation and review.
