Abstract
Potentially beneficial to organisations wishing to improve the efficiency of their internal and external communications and archival functions. It illustrates the value of introducing a project based IT system into the potentially fragmented process of contract negotiation by better monitoring, control, distribution and recall of mainly sales and marketing information. Whilst this case study deals with the use of IT in a contracting company, it is equally applicable to other types of organisation including material producers, quantity surveyors and engineers.
