Abstract
House in North London built using a mix of old and new technologies and materials. These include steel frame, brick walls, walls of straw bales clad in profiled metal sheeting, timber frame with sandbags and fabric cladding. Environmentally-friendly features include a composting WC, solar panels, natural ventilation and energy efficient equipment. Architects: Sarah Wigglesworth.
