The purpose of this introductory guidance note is to outline the philosophy behind building insurance clauses, with particular emphasis on the JCT Forms of Contract, and indicate how they deal with the various eventualities. There is also guidance on insurance under the GC Works Forms of Contract and Sub-contractors insurance.
