Abstract

At the A12 Hackney to M11 Link Road the most cost effective construction procedure was a hard-soft piling system. A unique opportunity therefore existed at this scheme to make insitu measurements and to install instrumentation to monitor the performance of this system so that more information is available to assist in the design of future similar scheme.
