Abstract
Provides guidance on the location, design and operation of buildings for planners, designers, facilities managers and corporate managers who would like to share these benefits and to reduce air pollution, pressure on resources and traffic congestion. The project also generated a range of benchmarks of good and typical practice for transport-related energy and emissions. The benchmarks relate to three typical building locations: a capital city, a major city, and an out-of-town or rural location. Designers, developers, facilities managers and planners can use these benchmarks to set transport targets for new build or refurbished developments.
