Abstract
Aimed at anyone who is liable to control or carry out maintenance work with asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) which does not require a licence from HSE. It takes you through a number of steps to help prevent or, where reasonably practicable, control exposure to asbestos. It first helps decide if there is a problem (for example are ACMs present?) and what to do about it. The guide then provides practical general advice on good work practices and the type of equipment needed.
