Abstract

Describes four schemes in villages in Norfolk and Suffolk, aimed at reducing traffic speeds using low visual impact and low cost measures. Automatic speed/flow monitoring and public opinion surveys where carried out on site and three months after implementation. Schemes covered are: Stiffkey, Blakeney and Wiveton, (Norfolk) and Occold (Suffolk), and were all introduced in 1999.
