Abstract
Provides guidance on the planning and design of facilities to support the holistic approach to cancer care outlined in the Calman-Hine report. The ultimate aim is to ensure that facilities enable the people who provide care to adopt the latest techniques and best practices, promoting efficiency and raising service quality. Coverage includes: organisation and structure, planning considerations, patient journey, paediatric care, diagnostic services, specialist cross sectional imaging, unsealed radioactive sources, cancer surgery requirements and offices and support facilities.
