Abstract
The 11th annual report, prepared by the Drinking Water Regulation Team of the Scottish Executive, presents a detailed assessment of drinking water quality in Scotland under the Water Supply (Water Quality) Scotland Regulations 1990. Whilst the results are the best recorded for Scotland, the report notes that further improvements are required to ensure Scottish drinking water reaches the levels of quality achieved in England and Wales.
