Abstract
Sets out a framework for developing focused and efficient facilities support services. It seeks to bring together theory and practice in such a manner as to provide the reader with practical guidance on methods of improving organisational performance and service quality whilst satisfying the need for a continued reduction in the demand for resources required to meet these objectives.
Document History
Archived publications are still available but should be used in the context that practice may have moved on or new technology emerged since their production. Some of these documents may not have been superseded or replaced due to their content not being healthcare specific. Documents marked historic are relevant to the time they were produced, such as case studies and may not be updated or superseded in the future. The Health Facilities Notes (HFN) series has been discontinued. Individual titles have been subsumed under their relevant sections in the NHS catalogue but existing HFN numbers are still noted. HFNs will continue to be listed under this series name in TCIS.
