Abstract
Detailed surveys of the surface and structural condition of roads, footways, kerbs and verges have been conducted in England and Wales. Covers key statistics, visual condition surveys, structural condition surveys, best value performance indicators, wet road skidding resistance and factors which affect road conditions. Also gives details of information to be collated in future surveys.
