Abstract

Gives the latest up-to-date information and advice on the appropriate design, commissioning and maintenance procedures necessary to minimise the risk of infection from Legionella bacteria inhabiting the engineering services within a building. Principles are highlighted and engineers are encouraged to apply them to their own particular building services. Technical guidance for identification of high risk areas along with risk management criteria and the techniques to reduce growth of bacteria are detailed.
